Despite the news coming that teams led by Mace and Balfour Beatty are set to build HS2’s two London stations there is still plenty of questions around what’s to come next for the £56bn project.

The official line about the scheme’s future has remained positive, despite a number of calls to either scrap or alter its scope.

With the main construction works set to ramp up later this year, and first services not expected to start running to 2026, there is plenty of news still to come in the ongoing story of HS2.
