Spring Budget broadly welcomed but criticised for lack of retrofit progress

The industry has broadly welcomed yesterday’s budget for including new funding for regeneration and energy projects although there was some criticism for the lack of progress on retrofit.

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt’s announcements included £20bn in funding for carbon capture and storage (CCUS) schemes, the launch of Great British Nuclear and £960m in funding for 12 new investment zones.
